A few years ago I would have laughed at anyone that even suggested taking one kiddo hiking. Today, I am here to tell you that bringing one kiddo is fun, but more than one is even more fun!
I’ve witnessed this a bit with my littles since we have moved beyond the stroller and everyone now walks together. Last week, we met up with a few friends and everything I’ve been seeing in my girls was multiplied. There were more giggles and more games. There were more things to see because more sets of eyes were pointing interesting things out. There was more singing and more running. All in all, there was more fun.
One of my favorite things about the hike was the fact I got to enjoy conversation with another mama. Because there was more of that other stuff going on with the littles, the mamas were able to finish sentences and catch up on life. Add “more friend-time for mama” on that pros for hiking with kids list too!
Bottom Line: Hiking Playdates are Awesome Playdates for All Ages.
