This project is a quick and easy craft that grows almost as fast as it takes to put together. The great thing about these little friends is that your kiddos not only get to watch grass grow, but they have to opportunity to practice their scissor cutting skills by trimming the “hair” every few days.
Materials:
- nylon sock
- potting soil
- grass seeds
- bowl of water to set your friend in
- felt and google eyes (or any odds and ends you may have around the house to make a face)
Instructions:
- Open the nylon sock and put in a handful of grass seed
- Fill the rest of sock with potting soil
- Tie a knot in the sock
- Glue objects for face
- Name your new friend and set it in the bowl and check it daily
