This mini tropical forest is tucked inside the famous Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

Even in 90 degree weather, is is a cool oasis because of the canopy of trees overhead. The little stream running through it is packed with red slider turtles and crawdads making it super fun to stop and explore along the way.

The butterflies and dragonflies give it an extra magical fairyland effect.

There is usually plenty of parking during the week. We usually walk from the trailhead to the cafe at the end and then turn back, making it about a mile walk. This trail is stroller friendly with no steep inclines.  There may be a few steps if you choose to go along side paths and sit on one of the benches.  It’s definitely one of our LA Favorites.

Note: There are no restrooms or water fountains on this trail.  There is a restroom for at the Trail Cafe for customers.
