The Conejo Valley Botanical Garden is a wonderfully whimsical place to bring kids of all ages. An incredible group of volunteers work hard to upkeep the dozens of trails inside the garden making it absolutely magical for kids and adults.
This beautiful garden is a labyrinth is trails. Paper maps for these trails are available at the trailhead. A few of the trails have stairs, but you can avoid stairs when you walk along the path away from the nature hike. This path will still get you to the hilltop with extraordinary views of Thousand Oaks.
The kiddos (and mama) love all the benches throughout the garden. The informative signs have pictures and are great stops along the way too.
One thing you should be made aware of is that the only restrooms are located outside of the garden so be sure to make a bathroom stop before hiking. Also, if your littles are still full of energy after a walk, there is a playground outside the entrance.
These trails can also be accessed though the amazing Kids Adventure Garden. Currently, the Kids Adventure Garden is only open on Sundays, but the surrounding trails throughout the Conejo Botanical Garden are open daily.
Botanical Garden Activities Suggestions: nature scavenger hunt, nature journaling, birdwatching, sketching
