Leaf rubbings are one of my littles’ favorite hiking activities. You start with a blank piece of paper. Put a leaf you find behind the paper. Then gently rub the paper with your pencil.
Leaves magically appear.
We like to take turns and surprise each other with a variety of leaves . We don’t tell each other which leaf we tucked behind the page and let it be revealed with our pencil rubbings.
So much fun and a great break activities in the middle of a hike.
